Year 2 had a great day on their last school trip of the year.
First, we visited Brockhole where we did a Beatrix Potter nature trail. We had to follow a map to find different characters from her stories, including Peter Rabbit and Jeremy Fisher. We had to use wax crayons to make rubbings of these animals. It was lovely exploring the grounds and looking at the beautiful views across the lake.
Next, we had a play on the adventure playground, followed by lunch, we had ducks visiting us wanting to share our tasty food. Most importantly our ice creams were delicious.
We got back on the coach and headed towards Bowness and The World of Beatrix Potter Museum. We watched a short film about Beatrix Potter and the inspiration for her stories.
We looked around the museum and enjoyed finding out the answers to the questions in our booklets. We had to look closely at the exhibitions to find out the answers. Finally, when we handed in our pencils we were rewarded with a sticker.
