On Monday and Tuesday, we had a team of apprentices in from BAE to run a lego robotics workshop. The children worked in teams to build a lego robot, which they then took into the hall for a Robot Wars competition.
During the two days, unbeknown to the children, the team observed how the children worked together as they wanted to present a prize to the person who emerged as a leader. This wasn’t necessarily the person who had the best ideas, but the person who naturally stepped into the role of leader in their team, the person who supported and encouraged their team and who communicated well with the BAE team and the rest of the class.
All of the children worked really hard with this and enjoyed being part of the workshop.
