Year 5 and 6 Outdoor Day

Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a Greek myths inspired outdoor learning day. They made clay people just like the ones from ‘Pandora’s Box’, created a string trust maze based on ‘Theseus and the Minotaur’, constructed spider’s webs after reading ‘Athene versus Arachne’ and used the colours and patterns of fallen Autumn leaves to decorate snakes from ‘Perseus and the Gorgon’s Head’. The children had a go at playing the game knucklebones and to finish the day, made mini Olympic torches which were lit.
