Today we went on a trip to Windermere to take part in a Stone Age Day. Despite the weather we had an amazing day. We learnt all about timelines, shaped and made Stone Age axes (in the same way they would have done thousands of years ago), did some copper work, became hunter gatherers, made natural cord from leaves and used charcoal and sandstone to create some pictures. All of the children had a wonderful day and learnt a lot!
A huge thank you to FLF for covering some of the cost of our trip!
‘This was one of my favourite trips, I had the best day!’ Oscar, Year 3.
