Year 1 loved their first outdoor day. The children completed their phonics lesson searching for objects and hidden words with the new grapheme /ea/ followed by hot chocolate, birthday cake and a camp fire. In English they listened to one their favourite stories: Stick man by Julia Donaldson. In Maths they created bundles of 10 sticks to help complete lots of calculations using and counting in 10’s.
Year 1 finished their outdoor day making their our own stick men and creating leaf prints. A really fun, if a little cold, day!
