Matthew 2: 1 – 12
To celebrate our first Collective Worship of the year, we learnt about the meaning of the Epiphany. We celebrated the time when Jesus was shown to the Gentiles and the important time that important people came to visit baby Jesus.
Some of our Year 6 children helped to retell the story of the Wise men visiting baby Jesus.
Together we then thought carefully about what the best gift we could give to baby Jesus. We linked this with our school vision of love: Love your neighbour as yourself, and thought about what ingredients and gifts we need to add to our recipe of love just like the three gifts that were given to baby Jesus by the three Kings.
