On Monday the 4th June years 5 and 6 went on a trip to Lancaster Castle where they were treated do a guided tour around the Civil and Criminal Courts. The highlights of the day, however,were being locked in the cells and practising 'Furness Slap Dancing' at The University of Cumbria !

On Friday the 18th of May there was a school party to celebrate the Royal Wedding.It was a lovely afternoon- the sun shone, the children and parents had a great time and to top it all we even had some Royal visitors !

Many congratulations go to Rose Hartley on winning the Rotary Club writing competition, "From a different perspective." Rose's entry will now go forward to the National final.It was very interesting seeing things from Alexa's point of view !

On the 21st February year 2 took part in "Myro the Musical" at the Coronation hall. A fantastic evening was had by everyone involved.

 Well done to everyone from the Key Steps 1 and Key Steps 2 gymnastics teams who took part in a competition  at Ulverston Victoria High School on Monday 19th February .

On the 7th February a group of KS2 girls attended the Dance Platform show at Ulverston Victoria High School. They were perfect ambassadors for our school with an outstanding performance and exemplary  behaviour. Well done ladies.

As part of Book Week the whole school - Staff included - dressed up as their favourite book character. As you can see, Year 1 had a fantastic time!

To start off our Book Week in style, author Wes Magee paid us a visit.As well as giving us some top writing tips we also enjoyed some wonderful poetry, complete with actions !

On the 23rd January 2018, a group of our children travelled to Manchester to take part in the Young Voices concert. For the children, staff and parents this is one of the highlights of the year.
